WHO calls application for Internship for Sexual and Reproductive Health Program of the WHO Regional Office in Congo-Brazzaville. The objective of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program of the WHO Regional Office (WHO / AFRO) is to help countries achieve universal access to health services. quality during the key stages of the life cycle, in particular the preconception period, pregnancy, childbirth, the neonatal period and the postpartum with respect for human rights for Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Key Duties 

Under the supervision of the SRH Regional Councilor; the intern will work in close collaboration with the other team members and will have the following tasks:

  • Contribute to the work of the Program Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Regional Office in the development, implementation and monitoring of interventions.
  • Contribute to studies or analyzes of sexual and reproductive health policies (literature review, cost-effectiveness analysis and documentation of best practices).
  • Assist in the practical organization of regional and national meetings, country support missions, conferences, and other events.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for resource mobilization, reports of various meetings or technical documents (progress reports, tools, guidelines) in the area of ​​sexual and reproductive health and related rights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Learning Objectives

During this Internship at the WHO Regional Office in Congo-Brazzaville, candidates will be able to

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed a master’s degree in public health or social sciences or in management at a university or equivalent establishment before starting the internship.
  • OR, candidates must be enrolled in a program of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification in public health or social sciences or in management (candidates who have already obtained their diploma may also be eligible provided that they begin the internship within six months of the end of their formal qualification).

Stipend

Interns receive a stipend. The stipend depends on the duty station and other external support (grant, scholarships, etc.) received by the intern. In Geneva, the maximum amount of the stipend provided by WHO is 1728 USD per month.
