What will You be Working on At Quantum @ X Internship?

• Collaborate with the X Quantum team to apply quantum resources to a project
  • Understand the project’s challenges
  • Suggest a number of ways in which quantum computing can apply to those challenges
  • Prototype solutions
  • Work interactively with the team members on developing the solution
• Engage with the X residency community during the 10-12 week program
• Implement algorithms on real quantum hardware.

What do you require to be X @ Alphabet Inc. Intern?

• BA/BS degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Enrolled in a Masters or PhD program
• Completed coursework in calculus, linear algebra, quantum mechanics, quantum computing, or their equivalent.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming language such as Python
• Experience with quantum algorithms and their application, including but not limited to quantum chemistry, quantum cryptography, and quantum optimization algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Research experience in quantum computing, quantum information, condensed matter physics, or high energy physics.
• Experience with Cirq or similar quantum computing package.
• Also, Experience with Machine Learning
