Commonwealth100 is a fully funded online leadership program from Common Purpose that equips the next generation with 21st-century leadership skills. It is the first of the Legacy Programmes to run online. It introduces the idea of Open Source Leadership, co-created by young leaders, to maximize their impact in both their professional and civic lives.

Using an interactive platform, you will work with a diverse group of young leaders from across the Commonwealth to explore Open Source Leadership. It is a new leadership model with over 1,000 young Commonwealth leaders. This is your opportunity to gain practical skills for the future. What’s more, everyone who completes Commonwealth100 receives the Open Source Leadership Badge; an online badge you can use to set yourself apart, as a 21^st Century leader.

Fully Funded Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Program

The participants of the Fully Funded Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Program will receive several benefits which include:

• Participants will learn to incorporate one or more of the Open Source Leadership traits in their leadership
• Further, they will gain new global perspectives from the course
• Likewise, they will gain insights on their roles as a new generation of leaders within the Commonwealth
• Also, gain access material they would not have otherwise
• Work on their personal brand as a leader as a result of being on the program

Eligibility for the Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Program

Commonwealth100 online leadership program is open to young leaders who are from a Commonwealth country, or who currently live, work or study in a Commonwealth country. Further, the participants of the leadership program should have an interest in shaping the legacy of the Commonwealth.

Further, the participants must be of age above 18 years. The online leadership program is open for individuals at the beginning of their career as well as students in Higher or Further Education.

How to apply for the Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Program

Candidates may submit the online application for the Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Program. It runs in seven-week cohorts. After filling in a short registration form, you will receive an email with more information about your cohort.

Timeline

Though the course originally ran in three-week-long cohorts, starting in 2019 it will run in seven-week-long cohorts. It takes between three to six hours to complete the course, which can be done flexibly over the cohort period. Upcoming course dates are:

• 6 September – 25 October 2019
• 1 November – 27 December 2019
• 3 January – 21 February 2020
• 6 March – 24 April 2020

This will continue to run in a similar pattern through 2020.
