Multiple sclerosis is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system. Today more than 2,300,000 people around the world have MS. MS is a progressive disease of the central nervous system, for which there is no cure at present. Additionally, women more than men have MS with a ratio of three women to two men. That is why the fully funded fellowship is being conducted in order to find a solution to it. Moreover, the fellowship is conducted by the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation in the memory of Professor Ian McDonald. The fellowship consists of a two-year grant, around UK £30,000 per year, to cover travel and living costs, and an additional contribution of UK £2,000 per year to the host institution.
