Applications are open for the African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) Fellowship 2025. The African Investigative Journalism Conference is running two Fellowship tracks in 2025 — one for practicing early-career journalists under the age of 30 with five or less years’ experience, and one for mid-career journalists with five or more years’ experience. #AIJC2025 will be held at Wits University in Johannesburg from 5 to 7 November 2025.
The annual African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC), an initiative of the Wits Centre for Journalism (WCJ), is the largest gathering of African investigative journalists on the continent. Now in its 21st year (2025), the conference is usually held over three days late in the year (October/November), where journalists from Africa and elsewhere gather at Wits University to network, share ideas and stories, celebrate excellent, groundbreaking work, and learn from one another through a series of lectures, workshops, masterclasses and seminars.
