BRIDGE-ing the Gap for African Entrepreneurs in Canada 2025

Applications are now open for BRIDGE-ing the Gap for African Entrepreneurs in Canada 2025, a year-long accelerator program running from May 2025 to May 2026. This initiative is designed to support African immigrant entrepreneurs in Canada who have already launched their businesses and are looking for additional resources to scale. The program offers a repayable grant with a low 5% interest rate, payable over 12 months, with no credit score requirement. This financial support ensures that entrepreneurs can focus on business growth without facing the traditional financial barriers that often limit expansion opportunities.

Beyond funding, participants will benefit from capacity-building workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The workshops, led by industry experts, will equip entrepreneurs with essential skills in business strategy, financial management, marketing, and operations. Through personalized mentorship, participants will receive guidance from experienced professionals who understand the unique challenges of scaling a business as an African entrepreneur in Canada. Eligibility for African Entrepreneurs

  • Must be registered in Ontario;
  • Must be in operations for at least 3 months;
  • Must have a minimum of $3,000 in monthly revenue;
  • No credit score requirement;
  • Can be from any sector or industry;
  • Must have migrated within the past 5 years.

If you’re ineligible for the ‘BRIDGE-ing the Gap for African Entrepreneurs in Canada’ program, they also offer a general loan program. This program provides up to $10,000 in business loans with a 10% interest cap and no credit score requirements. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no deadline. Loans are evaluated in the order they are received, so the earlier you apply, the sooner you’ll receive funding, if approved.
