Through the Building Futures Scholarship, Canadian Natural has awarded almost $1.2 million to more than 1,200 qualified applicants from 2008-2020.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Be a child/dependent (spouses not eligible) of a Canadian Natural employee and/or Indigenous (First Nations, Metis and Inuit included). For Indigenous applicants, you must be able to provide proof of your status either through official identification or a letter from community leadership
2. Be a resident of Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba) for at least one year prior to application. Students from communities where Canadian Natural has operations will receive added consideration
3. Hold a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN)
4. Be pursuing an area of study that is relevant to the oil and natural gas industry and/or that supports the communities where these activities occur
5. Maintain a passing GPA of at least 2.5, which is the equivalent of approximately 70% or a C+

Application

All applications that meet the requirements are reviewed by Canadian Natural’s Building Futures Advisory Committee.

Deadlines for each application period are August 15 and December 15.
