Griffith University invites application from international students to apply for scholarships. The university provides scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate as well as the postgraduate program. Griffith University is a public research university in South East Queensland on the east coast of Australia. With more than 300 degree programs that students can choose from, studying at Griffith can provide students with great opportunities to further their education.

Griffith University has well-laid support programs for overseas students. To ensure that international students are provided utmost comfort, support programs start as early as pre-departure. Also, the university provides several schemes of scholarships to provide financial aids to international students. Among them, International students can gain the advantage of Griffith University Remarkable Scholarships.

Benefits

Scholarships will be assessed and awarded based on recommendations by a University panel.

The scholars will receive a 50% waiver in tuition fees deductible in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees for the duration of the program. Griffith University will apply each deduction on the basis of census date of each relevant trimester of the program

Eligibility

To apply for the Griffith University Remarkable Scholarships, international students are eligible if they:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Have a minimum GPA or equivalent in previous studies for undergraduate degree applicants. Postgraduate coursework applicants must have a minimum GPA in undergraduate studies of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 5.5 on a 7.0 scale.
  • Have applied and be eligible for admission, or be in receipt of a conditional or unconditional offer from the University, for entry into an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree by the scholarship closing date.
  • Have satisfied all appropriate entry requirements for the proposed degree program, including results of the previous study and English language proficiency as per Griffith University’s entry requirements.
  • Be commencing and enrolling as a new full-time student in a postgraduate coursework degree in Trimester 2 or 3 2019 at Griffith University.

Application Requirements

Applicants must provide and will be assessed by a University panel on:

  • A completed scholarship application form by the published closing dates.
  • Likewise, Academic merit in prior studies. Applicants must provide a certified/attested true copy of supporting documentation demonstrating strong academic merit.
  • Further, Assessment of a Personal Statement that addresses why the applicant has applied for the scholarship, the selected program of study at Griffith University, as well as other information they feel strengthen their application for the scholarship. Also, the Personal Statement should be between 250 and 500 words.

How To Apply

The application process for the Griffith University scholarship requires international students to meet the eligibility criteria, at first. Afterward, the applicants may submit their candidature via the online application form

Selection Process

The University will provide the result of the scholarship in writing to the successful applicants. Further, the result will contain the date by which the applicants must accept the scholarship.

The university will withdraw the scholarship if the candidate doesn’t accept the scholarship offers by the specified date. Please note that students need to accept both their program offer and scholarship offer to secure a scholarship place.

Deadline

International students of Trimester 2 may apply for the Griffith University Remarkable scholarships before 17 May 2019. The university will publish the outcome of the application by 31 May.

Further, Trimester 3 applicants may apply for the international Griffith University Scholarships before 6 September 2019. The University will publish the outcome of the scholarship application by 20 September.
