The Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ) is pleased to invite applications for the 2025 Feminist Economics Summer School, taking place in person from September 1 to 5, 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Feminist Economics Summer School is part of the IEJ’s African Feminist Economics Policy Research and Network (AFEPRNs) project which aims to integrate Feminist Economics approaches into research and advocacy through capacity building initiatives and contributing towards building a robust African Feminist Economics network. The FESS has been a critical intervention, particularly in response to the gap in the use of feminist approaches to the study and practice of economics. The School is in its fifth year and it is recognised by Feminist scholars, activists and researchers in the region for its rigour and relevance to their work.
