The Spring Exchange Program offered by the College of Cross-Cultural and Multidisciplinary Studies at Kumamoto University provides international students who have an interest in studying abroad in Japan with a chance to experience life as an international student at Kumamoto University.
This program will be conducted in English.
Participants in the English Course of the Spring Program may apply for a scholarship of 80,000 Japanese Yen. The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and Kumamoto University provide the scholarship. However, scholarships are available only for candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria:
Please note that there are a limited number of scholarships available. Scholarships are available on the basis of the GPA scores of applicants.
Candidates are eligible for the Kumamoto University Exchange Program if their profile fits the program’s requirements:
Please note a minimum of 20 students is necessary to implement the program. The program can withhold 90 students.
In order to apply for the Student Exchange Program, the candidates must, firstly, indicate their intention to the international office of their university. With the nomination from their university, they can complete and submit the online application. Along with the application, the candidates must also submit their CV, letter of motivation as well as reference letters.
Kumamoto University accepts the application for the Exchange Program until Thursday, October 31, 2019. Applications arriving after the deadline are ineligible for the scholarship.
