The New York Film Academy (NYFA) is pleased to offer Need-Based Scholarships to all qualifying students. This Scholarship is a program designed to help reduce a student’s cost of education in the New York Film Academy’s one-year, two-year, AFA, BA, BFA, MA, and MFA programs. Moreover, the Academy understands that studying in the United States is a big financial commitment for many families. However, it also wishes to garner and nurture the next generations of excellent creators in the area of Film Making. Hence to achieve this goal, the Film Academy provides need-based scholarships, that ease student with their financial conditions.

New York Film Academy Scholarships Amount

The New York Film Academy provides scholarships on the basis of financial needs of the students. Hence, the scholarships amount cover students, domestic as well as international, tuition fee. At most, the Film Academy also contributes towards students’ living expenses.

Are you Eligible for NY Film Academy Scholarships?

New York Film Academy considers applicants eligible for the scholarships if they demonstrate the need for a tuition discount. For a demonstration of discount need, applicants will require to produce documented proof. The document may consist of parents’ income tax statement, if dependent or personal income tax, if independent. Moreover, a tuition discount administrator will review each individual application. The review will be on the basis of criteria set up by  NYFA.

Also, the applicants must provide an essay detailing their need for the tuition discount. The discount administrator reviews all applications prior to the student’s initial semester in his or her program of study. In the event, a student receives federal student aid, recipient’s financial aid package will include all tuition discount amount as well, in the determination for federal student aid programs. Students will receive the scholarship for the duration of their program. However, students must maintain satisfactory academic progress.

How Do You Apply?

To apply for the scholarships at NY Film Academy, an applicant must

• Complete Application form.
• Likewise, Write an Application Essay (1 to 2-page document discussing the student’s financial circumstances. As well as explaining his or her financial need for assistance).
• Student Financial Documentation (all students) demonstrating annual household income. U.S. Citizens will require to provide tax returns as proof. While, for international students, they will require to provide tax returns or other documentation clearly demonstrating annual income. Also note, in the event that tax returns are unavailable, the candidates may provide the following documents: Social Security Documents; W2 Forms; or Bank Statements.
• Parents Financial Documentation (students under 26 years of age) demonstrating annual household income. For U.S. Citizens, tax returns documentation. While, for international students, custodial parent’s tax return or other documentation clearly demonstrating annual income. Also note, in the event that tax returns are unavailable, the candidates may provide Social Security Documents; W2 Forms; or Bank Statements.
