The Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts offers three to five fellowship awards each year. The fellowships last for three-years while the Princeton University appoints postdoctoral fellows as a lecturer. What are Princeton Admission Requirements for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program?

Princeton sets a tight set of admission criteria for the fellowship. One must fulfill all the admission requirements to apply for the postdoctoral fellowship:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD degree, not before January 1, 2018. Priority will be given to applicants who have received no more than one year of research-only funding past the PhD degree.
  • Applicants who do not meet the August 6, 2019 deadline for receipt of their PhD may still apply for a postdoctoral fellowship. However, they must fulfill all conditions for the degree, including defense and filing of dissertation, by June 15, 2020,
  • If you have already applied to the Princeton Society of Fellows, you may not apply a second time
  • Candidates/recipients of doctorates in Education (Ed.D. or Ph.D. degrees), in Jurisprudence, the DMA, and candidates for/recipients of Ph.D. degrees from Princeton University are not eligible to apply.
  • The positions are subject to the University’s background check policy.

To apply for Liberal Arts Fellowship Program, a candidate, at first, must meet the admission requirements at Princeton University. Eligible candidates then may apply for the fellowship by submitting an online application form. The form should include the required documentation for the program.

Princeton University accepts the application for the fellowship program until the deadline set as 16 August 2019. Candidates must submit their application with all the required documents before the deadline if they want to be considered for the fellowship.
