RMI Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship 2025

Launched by RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA), this impactful fellowship program is designed to empower and support women leaders from the Global South who are working to advance the clean energy transition. The initiative focuses on strengthening their technical expertise, enhancing leadership skills, and building strategic capabilities that are essential for driving sustainable energy solutions in their communities and countries. The inaugural cohort of the fellowship, which will begin in June 2025, is being delivered in collaboration with a range of influential local and international partners, including AMP. Together, these organizations aim to foster a vibrant network of women leaders who can lead transformative change in the global energy landscape. Applications are open for the RMI Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship 2025.

The fellowship offers:

• Technical Training on distributed energy resources and local business models
• Project Management skills, including risk mitigation, procurement, and finance
• Group Mentorship with women energy leaders from across sectors
• Peer Networking with other passionate women across the region
• Capstone Project to develop a clean energy policy, initiative, or strategy in your country

Leadership Accelerator

Select fellows will be invited to a 3-day in-person leadership workshop in November 2025. This advanced training will focus on hands-on leadership skills for women leading clean energy projects or shaping policy. A separate selection process will occur during the fellowship.

Eligibility for Clean Energy Fellowship

They are looking for early to mid-career women who:

• Are currently working on clean energy projects or policies in Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Zambia;
• Are passionate about leadership, innovation, and social impact in the energy space;
• Want to grow their network and drive meaningful change in their communities.
