The Sustainable Development Goals lay out a clear vision for a sustainable future, representing an opportunity to shape a new era for responsible business. Each year the United Nations  celebrates a group of SDG Pioneers — business leaders who are doing an exceptional job to advance the Global Goals through the implementation of their Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. In their search for the 2022 cohort of SDG Pioneers, they encourage professionals working at any level of a UN participating company who are leveraging a principles-based approach to set ambitious, scalable and impactful SDG targets to apply.

Benefits from Global Compact SDG Pioneers

• Firstly, The 2022 cohort of UN Pioneers will be announced. And celebrated in June 2022 at the Leaders Summit.
• Secondly, The SDG Pioneers will receive visibility. And be recognized for the outstanding work that they have done to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility Required for Global Compact SDG Pioneers

• Professionals who are working at any level of a UN Global Compact company are eligible to apply or be nominated.
• For the 2022 cohort, only companies who were participants of the UN Global Compact on 15 March 2022. And have submitted at least one Communication on Progress (CoP) are eligible to apply.

Nominations

The nomination deadline is March 15, 2022. You can also nominate others. The 2022 UN Global Compact SDG Pioneers will be announced and celebrated in June 2022 at the Leaders Summit in New York.
