East-West Center invites application for the fully funded Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP). The APLP brings together people who want to co-create the future as self-reflective, resilient agents. Using experiential, place-based learning with a focus on equity, cohorts of leaders practice leadership strategies in nurturing environments.

For nearly 20 years, East-West Center has been cultivating motivated leaders who are capable of creating a positive impact in the Asia Pacific region. Moreover, the incoming fellows join a network of 653 APLP alumni from 45 countries across the globe.

The APLP program approach is to:

  • Stimulate individual growth as well as foster self-leadership for emerging and established leaders
  • Build on communities’ diversity and abundance by offering strategies that leaders can adapt to their own contexts
  • Support leaders as they practice implementing prototypes with teams, reflecting on results and refining for impact

Moreover, the Asia Pacific Leadership Program is a five-month blended program packed in three modules. The participants will travel to Hawaii and the US mainland for compact leadership training. Next, the participants will complete the online module and travel again to Asian countries to complete the program.
