Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. The Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) selects the recipients of the scholarship. For the academic session of 2020, the Chinese Government is endowing fully funded scholarship to International Students for postgraduate studies. The scholarship is available at the Northeast Agricultural University (NEAU) which is among the 279 universities responsible for educating students under Chinese Government Scholarship Program. The Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI)awards scholarships for foreign Doctoral level students and young researches to carry out postgraduate studies and research and teaching in Finnish universities. Scholarships aim mainly Doctoral level students who will be doing their whole Doctorate or Double Doctorate at a Finnish university. Visiting Doctoral level students and researchers who are doing their Doctorate degree at some foreign university are also eligible if they provide the motivation letter of the hosting Finnish university department presents exceptionally good grounds for such an application.

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) provided fully funded Dutch Government scholarship to international students. Moreover, it has provided fellowships for professionals from 51 countries is currently being phased out. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs had initiated and funded the program. The aim of the programme was to help reduce the shortage of skilled workers in the selected countries, through training courses and programs. Moreover, the Dutch higher education institutions were responsible for education and training.

The South Korean Government announces the application open for 2020 fully funded Global Korea Scholarship. Applications are open for the Fully Funded Mexico Government Scholarship 2020. In 2014, the U.S. Government’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) started the flagship program Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.
