Walailak University International College is a public university located in Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. The candidates successful to receive the fully funded PhD Excellent Scholarship at Walailak University are eligible for full remission of their tuition fee.

Who is eligible for the PhD Excellent Scholarship?

Candidates are eligible for the fully funded Walailak University PhD Scholarship if their profile aligns with the university’s requirements.

• Candidates should have an outstanding academic record with GPAX
  • ≥ 3.50/4.00 for Master degree holder or
  • ≥ 3.25/4.00 for Bachelor degree holder
• Further, candidates from any nationality can apply for the PhD program as well as the Excellent scholarship
• Scholarships are available for the three-year PhD program as well as a four-year PhD program in the following international programs:
  • Science
  • Management
  • Engineering
  • Health Science
  • Agriculture
• Also, scholarship holders must commit to working as a teaching assistant (TA) or research assistant (RA)

How to apply for the Fully Funded PhD Scholarship at Walailak University?

All applicants interested in applying for the international PhD programs at Walailak University must, at first, look up at potential advisors’ profiles on the College of Graduate Studies website. There, the applicants must find the research topic and advisor that matches the field of interest. If the candidates identify the research area and potential research advisor, the applicants can directly send a research proposal to the advisor.

After confirmation of the research proposal, the candidates can begin the application process. For this, they will require to download the application form, as well as the letter of reference form. The candidates must fill the application while asking the referee to fill up the reference form. The form should be returned to the Walailak University for evaluation.

Deadline

The PhD application form is open all year round. However, the candidates wishing to apply for the program should do so before 30 April 2020. Walailak University will not consider the application form arriving after the deadline.
