Application are open for Master in Conflict, Peace & Security. This scholarship is build by UNITAR and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

It is a unique opportunity designed to enhance the understanding of conflicts in all their dimensions. And to explore innovative approaches to their management, resolution and transformation, with the help of leading academic experts and experienced practitioners.

It aims to equip participants with a broad analytical skillset. As well as with first-hand knowledge and insights coming directly from the field. Becoming a part of this community is a valuable asset for life.

Eligibility of  Master in Conflict, Peace & Security

It offer only a limited number of partially funded scholarships to students in need of financial aid from LDCs.

In case a donors does not wish to apply specific criteria. UNITAR will select applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Citizenship of a developing country;
  • Low financial resources;
  • Active demand by the applicant;
  • No previous studies at the graduate level;
  • Years of relevant professional experience;
  • Academic excellence at the high school and undergraduate levels.

In case of equal qualifications, female applicants and applicants from LDCs will be considered preferably.


Applications are open throughout the year and students are accepted on a rolling basis. However, deadlines exist to be considered for a specific semester.

Deadline : September 15 & January 15.
