Applications for the British Council Great Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh are now Open. The GREAT Scholarships programme is part of the British Council’s Study UK campaign aimed at supporting students from selected countries access high quality world-class education at the best universities in the UK. This programme offers students from over 18 countries, the opportunity to study a Master’s degree programme at one of the over 150 participating universities in the United Kingdom.

British Council is partnering with the University of Edinburgh this year, to offer four GREAT scholarships to applicates from four countries (one from each country) namely: China, India, Mexico and Turkey. Applicants must be applying for an eligible one year Master’s (Postgraduate)degree programme.

The scholarship is based on merit. therefore, the best candidates will be selected for consideration. The university of Edinburgh will select one scholarship recipient from each of the participating countries. You must be ready to start your studies for the 2022 academic year starting September

Benefits from Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship

The benefits of the scholarships are as below

• The scholarship aims to offer financial grant worth a minimum of £10,000
• This financial grant is to be used a contribution towards your tuition fees
• The scholarship is offered for one year, for a one year postgraduate programme

Eligibility for Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship

• Firstly, Applicants for the scholarships must be nationals and residents of China, India, Mexico and Turkey
• Secondly, To be considered, you must have apply and receive admission for full-time one-year postgraduate Masters programme of study.
• Thirdly, The scholarship will be offered based on academic merit, therefore you must have obtained equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Application of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship

To apply and be considered for the scholarship, you must first apply for admission into one of the eligible Master’s degree programme at the university of Edinburgh. Applications for admission can e submitted online by visiting the online application portal.

Upon recipient of your admission offer, you must then complete the online scholarship application. The last date of submission is March 31, 2022. Applicants must first create a username and password, log into the system and them complete heir application
